1. A method advocated for the treatment of hypertrophic osteoarthritis in which an attempt is made to change muscular action from one group of muscles to another set of muscles to protect the diseased joint. Origin: ortho-+ G. Kinetikos, movable, fr. Kineo, to move (05 Mar 2000)
