1. One of a number of enzymes (mutases) (EC sub-subclass 5.4.2) that apparently catalyze intramolecular transfer because the donor is regenerated (e.g., phosphoglyceromutase, phosphoglucomutase). Synonym: phosphodismutase. (05 Mar 2000)
