Medical Definition of Phosphoribulokinase

1. An enzyme that, in the presence of ATP, catalyses the phosphorylation of d-ribulose 5-phosphate to d-ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate and ADP, a reaction of importance in the carbon dioxide fixation cycle of photosynthesis. (05 Mar 2000)
