Medical Definition of Plasma cell gingivitis
1. Intense hyperaemic oedema and inflammation of the gingiva resulting from a hypersensitivity reaction. A dense plasma cell infiltrate is seen in the lamina propria. Synonym: atypical gingivitis. (05 Mar 2000)
