1. Plasmid's carrying genes responsible for antibiotic (or antibacterial drug) resistance among bacteria (notably Enterobacteriaceae); they may be conjugative or nonconjugative plasmid's, the former possessing transfer genes (resistance transfer factor) lacking in the latter.
