1. A dietary deficiency of riboflavin causing a syndrome chiefly marked by cheilitis, angular stomatitis, glossitis associated with a purplish red or magenta-coloured tongue that may show fissures, corneal vascularization, dyssebacia, and anaemia. (12 Dec 1998)
