1. Branches which run transversly. Nomina Anatomica lists transverse branches of 1) lateral femoral circumflex artery (ramus transversus arteriae circumflexae femoris lateralis ); and 2) medial femoral circumflex artery (ramus transversus arteriae circumflexae femoris medialis ).
