1. A wart on the sole, often painful; usually caused by human papilloma virus type 1. Synonym: verruca plantaris. Pointed wart, obsolete term for condyloma acuminatum. Postmortem wart, a tuberculous warty growth (tuberculosis cutis verrucosa) on the hand of one who performs postmortem examinations.
