Medical Definition of Chromosomal instability syndromes
1. A group of mendelian conditions associated with chromosomal instability and breakage in vitro, they often manifest an increased tendency to certain types of malignancies. See: Bloom's syndrome, fragile X syndrome, xeroderma pigmentosum. (05 Mar 2000)
