Medical Definition of Clostripain

1. A cysteine proteinase cleaving preferentially at the carboxyl side of arginyl and lysyl residues. It also has an esterase activity. Synonym: clostridiopeptidase B, Clostridium histolyticum proteinase B. (05 Mar 2000)
