1. Fibrous or muscular strands that lie medial to the deep inguinal ring, extending from the lower border of the transversus muscle to the lacunar ligament and pectineal fascia. Synonym: ligamentum interfoveolare, Hesselbach's ligament. (05 Mar 2000)
