Medical Definition of Leucovorin calcium

1. The calcium salt of leucovorin (folinic acid); used to counteract toxic effects of folic acid antagonists, for the treatment of megaloblastic anaemias, and as an adjunct to cyanocobalamin in pernicious anaemia. Synonym: calcium folinate. (05 Mar 2000)
