Medical Definition of Meningeal branch of mandibular nerve

A recurrent branch of the mandibular nerve that passes superiorly through foramen spinosum to be distributed with the posterior division of the middle meningeal artery to the meninges of the posterior portion of the middle cranial fossa.
Synonym: ramus meningeus nervi mandibularis, nervus spinosus.
