Medical Definition of Bezold-Jarisch reflex
1. A reflex with afferent and efferent pathways in the vagus, originating in unidentified chemoreceptors in the heart and resulting in sinus bradycardia, hypotension, and probable peripheral vasodilation. (05 Mar 2000)
